General Laborer
The Entry General Laborer piles boards in carts and marks odd lengths.
Tallyer
The Lumber Tallyer assists with creating bundles of lumber and utilizes a software application to count and measure the contents of each bundle.
Proficient Operator Lift
The Forklift Operator operates the forklift in a safe and productive manner while minimizing damage to the lumber product.
Planer Operator
The Planer Operator maintains constant lumber flow to the planer.
Kilns Operator
The Kilns Operator operates and maintains the dry kilns.
Lead Kilns Operator
The Kilns Operator operates and maintains the dry kilns.
Shipping Lead
The Shipping Lead coordinates all shipments of sold product.
Lumber Inspector Grading
The Lumber Inspector applies the requisite grading rules of the NHLA to identify grades of lumber.
Quality Control Inspector
The Quality Control Inspector checks product to assure conformance with the National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA) and with Collins’ quality standards. This position is also responsible for training lumber graders to ensure they meet hardwood lumber standards.
Dry End Supervisor
The Dry End Supervisor will manage the day-to-day operations of the planer, kilns, and shipping departments while promoting safety, quality, productivity, recovery, and employee development.
