Instrument Technician Journeyman I
Responsible for installation, calibration, monitoring and maintenance of control instrumentation including electronic control systems. Works to convert pneumatic control systems to computerized control systems throughout refinery. Assist with programming of scheduled testing and maintenance of environmental monitoring equipment and on-stream analytical equipment. Perform rebuilds and calibration of flow, temperature, pressure and level transmitters and control valves. Install, program, and maintain all truck and railcar loading/unloading equipment including meters, temperature compensation, control valves and dye injection systems.
Instrument Technician Journeyman II
Responsible for performing journeyman-level instrument maintenance work, including troubleshooting, calibration, system configuration, and plant instrumentation support. This position works independently or with others, follows safety procedures, responds to off-shift callouts, and helps maintain reliable operation of instrument systems and equipment.
Instrument Technician Journeyman III
Responsible for performing advanced journeyman-level instrument maintenance work, including troubleshooting, system design, calibration, equipment configuration, and instrumentation support. This position also supervises craft work, leads projects, delegates daily assignments, works with engineers and contractors, and ensures all work is completed safely and correctly.
Instrument Technician Specialist
Responsible for supervising craft employees and performing senior-level instrumentation maintenance work, including advanced troubleshooting, system design, project leadership, and equipment configuration. This position serves as a resource for complex problems, coordinates contractors, leads safety and team meetings, and helps ensure instrumentation systems are maintained safely, accurately, and efficiently.
