Description

Responsible for supervising craft employees and performing senior-level instrumentation maintenance work, including advanced troubleshooting, system design, project leadership, and equipment configuration. This position serves as a resource for complex problems, coordinates contractors, leads safety and team meetings, and helps ensure instrumentation systems are maintained safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Tasks

Supervise craft employees, fill in for the supervisor, and delegate daily work. 
Lead projects and support on-the-job training opportunities. 
Serve as a resource for complex troubleshooting and answer off-shift callouts. 
Design, build, and implement PLC systems, DCS systems, wireless systems, and gas detection systems. 
Manage instrument upgrade projects, parts replacements, inventory, and MMS preventative maintenance schedules. 
Coordinate contractors and regularly communicate with process engineers to solve process deficiencies. 
Lead root cause analysis investigations and manage installation of vibration monitoring equipment.

Qualifications / Education

High School Diploma required. 
Associate degree preferred. 
Passing Instrument Technician III test required. 
8–10 years of experience preferred. 
Minimum 3 years at ARG preferred but not required. 
Certifications required for manlift, scissor lift, and forklift. 
Leadership training, SafetyAmp instructor experience, and public speaking training preferred. 
Advanced knowledge of instrument diagrams, P&IDs, signal troubleshooting, conduit design, tubing design, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical troubleshooting, and document control management. 
Experience with Microsoft Suite, time entry, ADP, SafetyAmp Admin, AMS Device Manager, Studio 5000, ProLink II, RadarMaster, Accumate, CSI 6500, Instrument Forms Plus, MMS, Purchase Orders, SharePoint, Rosemount Wireless Gateway, Upgrade Studio, Crimson Redlion, IX Developer, Control, and Fuel Facs preferred.
