Vice President - Engineering & Product Development

Description

Provide direction to the engineering team for in-house capital projects and customer service needs while supporting sales with a strong focus on the development and improvement of current and future products and processes.

Tasks

  • Engineering 
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and performance feedback. 
  • Set and manage project priorities, ensuring that projects are delivered on time. 
  • Organize and Coordinate Customer Design Reviews 
  • Identify technical challenges and drive effective solutions to address them. 
  • Review equipment installation issues and drive improvements. 
  • Provide technical support to the field service group. 
  • Develop testing plans in conjunction with customers and support testing and data analysis. 
  • Product Development 
  • Develop Product Roadmap for all Press Products 
  • Review current products with an eye toward improving product alignment with business and customer needs. 
  • Drive standardization based on experience, market analysis, and voice of the customer. 
  • Drive product development based on experience, market analysis, and voice of the customer. 
  • Sales Support 
  • Capital project estimating and proposal review 
  • Develop concept designs for new capital opportunities as needed 
  • Provide technical support to sales and customers. 

Qualifications / Education

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an engineering field with related experience.
  • Communication 
  • Organization 
  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skills 
  • MS Office Products (MS Word, MS Excel; others are a plus)
  • Motivated self-starter 
  • Some travel within the US required 
  • This job requires equal amounts of sitting, walking, standing, minimal lifting and other physical activities.
