Regional Technical Support Sales Manager

Description

Provide technical support, maintenance services, rebuilds, and new equipment sales within our designated regional area. Additionally, this position will involve providing technical guidance and mentorship to Gasbarre's assembly department, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Tasks

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting services for Gasbarre press equipment within the assigned region.
  • Consult on preventive maintenance and equipment inspections to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and recommend suitable solutions, including new press equipment and rebuilds.
  • Conduct demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase Gasbarre's products and capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication and on-site visits.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and Gasbarre’s engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Mentor and train Gasbarre’s assembly department staff on product assembly, testing procedures, and quality control measures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Other areas of focus:
  • Customer Collaboration: Work with customers to figure out what they need technically and suggest solutions that fit, like new press equipment or fixing old ones. 
  • Building Relationships: Keep in touch with customers regularly and visit them in person to build strong relationships. 
  • Technical Support: Help customers with troubleshooting and fixing Gasbarre press equipment in the assigned region. 
  • Maintenance Advice: Give advice on how to keep equipment in good shape and inspect it to make sure it works well. 
  • Showcasing Products: Do demos and talks to show off what Gasbarre’s products can do. 
  • Staying Informed: Keep up with what’s new in the industry, what other companies are doing, and new technologies, to give good advice and ideas. 
  • Connecting Teams: Be the go-between for customers and Gasbarre’s engineers and makers to solve tech problems fast. 
  • Teaching and Coaching: Teach the assembly team at Gasbarre how to put products together, test them, and make sure they’re good quality. 

Qualifications / Education

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering preferred. 
  • Prior sales experience in manufacturing preferred. 
  • Experience with effective traveling and customer relationship management. 
  • In depth knowledge of thermal processing, Pre-Sale support, plan and specification review, equipment selections and proposal generation.
  • A minimum of 6 years of proven successful field sales experience. 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read or interpret specifications and drawings. 
  • Self-directed, motivated, and highly organized, are all strongly desired traits. 
  • Ability to control and support multiple projects with professionalism, cooperation, and persistence. 
  • Detailed knowledge of key customers. 
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong business and collaborative relationships. 
  • Proven ability to adapt and manage effectively in fast-paced, changing environment. 
  • Ability to establish credibility across the organization and engage others to ensure business success. 
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members. 
  • Ability to plan, assess, and implement change.

  • CRM software knowledge. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
