Description

Responsible for overall development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s quality department.

Tasks

  • Conduct monthly management review meetings. 
  • Responsible for inspection/calibration of all measuring devices. 
  • Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of all internal processes. (incoming material, machining, fabrication, assembly...) 
  • Ensure that the organization’s quality system conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, AAR, and regulatory/legal requirements. 
  • Oversee inspection (examination) of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet the requirements. 
  • Work with customers, employees, contractors, and outsourcing firms to develop product requirements. 
  • Keep up on standards, regulations/laws within ISO and AAR. 
  • Review specifications for products or processes prior to order acceptance 
  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis on quality data 
  • Drive improvement and develop new efficient procedures within the quality department. 
  • Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback. 
  • Identify appropriate equipment that can accurately measure incoming and outgoing products. 
  • Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements 
  • Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met 
  • Knowledge of machining, fabrication, and assembly operations 

Qualifications / Education

  • 7 years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Control with ISO 9001experience. 
  • 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Infor Visual - Routings 
  • Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, and Excel 
  • Blueprint Reading with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance callouts. 
  • Statistical Process and Control 
  • Less than one week a month for vendor and customer audits, inspections, etc.
