Professional Development Specialist

Assists in training new staff and in supporting the implementation of trauma informed principles and practices to help promote staff development. This position is responsible for assisting leadership in monitoring staff morale and in implementing necessary trainings, meetings and practices within the programs. This position is responsible for coaching and development of new staff through on the job training during their employment.

• Documentation of important information and data in a timely and professional manner.
• Delivering Agency training (Safe Crisis Management (SCM), Ukeru, CPR and First Aid) in a professional and timely manner. Primary instructor monthly for SCM in McKean County. Must be certified within 6 months of hire in this position.
• Interviewing and hiring new staff in a timely manner to reduce overtime costs to programs.
• Ensuring that new employee orientation evaluations are thorough and given in a timely manner.

• High School Diploma or GED. Individual must have 5 years' MH/IDD experience
• Must be a certified SCM, Ukeru and CPR/First Aid instructor or become certified within 6 months following hire
