Description

Oversees the management of agency and affiliate centralized purchasing and food services including bid/RFP management.

Tasks

  • Direct supervision and management of the daily functions of the department.
  • Oversees and assures that agency purchases are completed within agency policy guidelines with regards to securing the proper authorizations and documentation.
  • Oversees and assures that agency purchases including major contracts regarding food purchases, automobiles and other major expenditures are monitored for cost effectiveness and that opportunities for cost savings are reviewed on a regular basis.
  • Oversees and assures that agency purchases in excess of $1,500 follow the appropriate bidding procedures. Assists with getting bids when needed.
  • Assures and oversees that adequate internal controls are maintained with regards to the purchasing process.

Qualifications / Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate's Degree in Business preferred
  • One year of purchasing experience preferred
