Description

Provides direct support to individuals by maintaining knowledge of community resources, offering information and referrals, and conducting follow-up. This role involves performing client intakes, assessing needs, determining eligibility, and ensuring accurate documentation and timely data entry. The assistant responds promptly to inquiries, issues required forms and notices, and supports clerical functions such as typing, filing, proofreading, and maintaining service logs. Additionally, the position requires identifying and reporting potential risks to the supervisor while ensuring compliance with service rules and regulations.

Tasks

1.    Maintains comprehensive knowledge of community resources; provides information and referrals; conducts follow-up.
2.    Uses available resources to learn, understand, and consistently apply service rules and regulations.
3.    Conducts intakes, assesses needs, and determines eligibility. 
4.    Creates accurate, organized, on time, and legible files and documentation; ensures accurate and time entry into systems. 
5.    Assists with clerical tasks to include typing, filing, proofreading, data entry, and maintaining service logs.
6.    Identifies and reports risks to supervisor.

Qualifications / Education

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) and six months related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
