Description

Serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment. This role manages incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, messages, mail, and deliveries, while maintaining accurate records and sign-in procedures. Responsibilities include overseeing the reception area, providing community resource information, and supporting office operations by stocking supplies, processing payments and donations, and assisting with clerical tasks such as data entry and filing. The position also involves implementing emergency procedures and reporting potential risks to the supervisor.

Tasks

1.     Promptly, professionally, and courteously receives telephone calls and visitors.
2.    Directs and/or records and relays accurate messages; accepts / receipts payments / donations.
3.    Maintains comprehensive knowledge of community resources; provides information and referrals.
4.    Operates postage meter; processes incoming and outgoing mail; signs for deliveries and notifies recipients.
5.    Assists with clerical tasks, including typing, filing, data entry, and maintenance of service logs.
6.    Ensures disposal of daily refuse in common areas; stocks restrooms and copiers; general cleaning tasks.

Qualifications / Education

High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) and one month related experience and/or training.
