Weatherization Director

Vversees all aspects of weatherization projects, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and contractual requirements. This role involves managing contractor recruitment, preparing and reviewing proposals, budgets, and reports, and maintaining accurate information systems. The Director develops internal controls, investigates complaints, and implements fraud prevention measures. Responsibilities include contract negotiation, project coordination, public relations, and risk management reporting. Additionally, the position requires supervising staff, making hiring decisions, ensuring training compliance, and providing consumer services. 

1.    Manages weatherization and related projects; complies with policies and procedures.

2.    Responsible for contractor recruitment; prepares purchase of service proposals; analyzes and recommends contracts; ensures contractor compliance with requirementsand contractual outcomes.

3.    Prepares and/or reviews proposals, agreements, budgets, revisions, reports, surveys, purchase documents, correspondence, etc.; ensures requirements and deadlines are met.

4.    Develops and maintains internal controls, procedures, and forms; investigates complaints and processes appeals.

5.    Responsible for project collaboration, coordination, public relations, and Right-to-Know requests.

6.    Manages and provides consumer services.

7.    Manages staff; makes hire and fire recommendations; ensures staff obtain required trainings and certifications.

Bachelor’s degree and one year related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Project management, personnel supervision, and budget management experience is preferred.
