Description

Oversees domestic violence services and related projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, grant requirements, and organizational policies. This role manages comprehensive victim support programs, including counseling, advocacy, emergency shelter, and compensation referrals. Key responsibilities include developing budgets and proposals, maintaining accurate information systems, and implementing internal controls. The Director leads staff management and training, coordinates risk mitigation efforts, and promotes community engagement through advocacy and public relations. Confidentiality and mandated reporting compliance are essential, along with frequent travel for meetings and training.

Tasks

1.    Manages domestic violence services and related projects; adheres to Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV); Victims of Crime Act; other grantors’, and CAI’s policies, procedures, and requirements.
2.    Ensures domestic violence victims receive options counseling, advocacy, hotline, support group, emergency shelter, Crime Victim Compensation referrals, and other support services.
3.    Develops proposals, budgets, revisions, reports, purchase documents, correspondence, and other project management requirements.  
4.    Responsible for developing and maintaining project policies and procedures.
5.    Responsible for system advocacy and public relations to cultivate community support and garner local resources.
6.    Ensures for safeguarding the confidentiality of domestic violence victims; serves as the coordinator for CAI’s mandated reporting.
7.  Manages staff; makes hire and fire recommendations; conducts and coordinates staff training; attends trainings and meetings as appropriate; travel required.

Qualifications / Education

Bachelor’s degree and three years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Project management, personnel supervision, and budget management experience is preferred. PCADV 40 hour Domestic Violence Training Certificate and experience with legal advocacy is also preferred.
