Description
Oversees the planning, implementation, and management of adult education programs to ensure compliance with organizational policies and contractual requirements. This role involves preparing and reviewing proposals, budgets, and reports; managing participant assessments, goal setting, and career counseling; and developing instructional programs that enhance job readiness and educational outcomes. The supervisor is responsible for recruiting volunteers and participants, conducting outreach, and maintaining accurate documentation and information systems. Additional responsibilities include staff management, professional development, and risk mitigation.
Tasks
1. Manages Adult Education Project; complies with policies and procedures; achieves contractual outcomes.
2. Prepares and/or reviews proposals, agreements, budgets, revisions, reports, surveys, purchase documents, invoices, correspondence, etc.; ensures requirements are identified and deadlines are met.
3. Conducts and ensures completion and documentation of participant’s assessment and testing, educational and vocational goal setting, and career counseling, planning, and follow-up.
4. Develops and conducts instruction which produces job readiness and educational improvements required to achieve participant’s goals and grantor and organizational standards.
5. Manages and provides participant support services; conducts outreach activities.
6. Manages staff; makes hire and fire recommendations; tracks staff professional development progress;
ensures staff obtain required trainings and certifications.
Qualifications / Education
Bachelor’s degree required and one year experience preferred.
