Description
Oversees the operations of the Fiscal departments. Plans and directs the accounting operations of the affiliates.
Tasks
- Direct supervision and management of the daily functions of the department.
- Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the organizations performance.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Analyzing financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
Qualifications / Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in an accounting related field and five years of prior experience or training required
- Master's’ Degree, prior experience working in a non-profit setting, and CPA or CMA preferred
