Description
Perform engineering assignments in the design of the mechanical component of capital equipment, fabrications, and replacement parts. All activities are done in a way that represents Gasbarre Products in a professional manner.
Tasks
- Collect, analyze and organize design data required for each project
- Based on the collected data develop a design concept including full bill of materials for the sales department
- Develop equipment and system layout drawings to provide to customer
- Develop fabrication, assembly, special atmosphere, combustion, pneumatic, and other drawings to provide to the manufacturing department
- Work with internal and external parties to develop the most efficient design for the customer and for manufacturing
- Develop SolidWorks 3D models and/or AutoCAD drawings
- Build bill of materials for release to manufacturing
- Work with vendors to provide purchased components for assemblies that meet performance criteria and are cost effective
- Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers
- Visit customers as needed to collect required data for assigned projects
- Organize equipment manuals
- Any other duties as detailed by the President and Engineering Manager
Qualifications / Education
- Engineering degree preferred. Related technical experience is a plus.

- MS Office Products (MS Word, MS Excel; others are a plus)
- Some travel locally and within the US required
- This job requires equal amounts of sitting, walking, standing, minimal lifting and other physical activities.
