Description

Responsible for the management of the respective shift and the supervision of the individuals within that unit during that shift.

Tasks

  • Model appropriate behavior for staff and individuals through appearance, actions, and communication.
  • Supervise and manage shift operations effectively.
  • Assist the supervisor in creating weekly staff schedules.
  • Provide direct supervision of individuals.
  • Document important information and data in a timely, professional manner.
  • Know residents’ medications, potential side effects, and scheduled administration times.

Qualifications / Education

  • High school graduate or the equivalent but preference is given to college trained individual with background in child development, psychology, education or a related field.
