Rehabilitation Technician

Description

Work directly with mental health consumers by assisting persons with functional disabilities resulting from mental illness to develop, enhance, and/or retain psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal adjustment, and/or independent living skills.

Tasks

  • Model and promote a culture of respect, cooperation, and service excellence.
  • Provide direct services as part of program operations.
  • Maintain compliance with all program documentation and regulatory standards.
  • Apply Psych Rehab principles in assessments, services, and consumer interactions.
  • Complete documentation on time and ensure it meets Psych Rehab regulatory requirements.

Qualifications / Education

  • Bachelor's degree with academic concentration in an area relevant to the position; or,
  • Associate's degree and 1 year work experience in mental health direct service; or,
  • CPS Certificate and 1 additional year paid or volunteer work experience in mental health direct service.
  • High school diploma or equivalency and two years of work experience in human services, which must include one year of mental health direct care experience.
