Description

Work directly with mental health consumers by assisting persons with functional disabilities resulting from mental illness to develop, enhance, and/or retain psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal adjustment, and/or independent living skills. May perform supervisory functions as delegated by the director. Discussing approaches to assist individuals in goal attainment.

Tasks

  • Model and promote a culture of respect, cooperation, and service excellence.
  • Participate directly in the delivery of program services.
  • Ensure compliance with all documentation and program regulations.
  • Apply Psych Rehab principles in assessments, services, and consumer interactions.
  • Complete and manage documentation promptly and in line with Psych Rehab regulations.

Qualifications / Education

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years work experience in mental health direct service, 1 year of which must be work experience in psychiatric rehabilitation services. Bachelor's degree with academic concentration in an area relevant to the position, OR An associate's degree and 1 year work experience in mental health direct service, OR A CPS Certificate and 1 additional year paid or volunteer work experience in mental health direct service. A high school diploma or equivalency and two years of work experience in human services, which must include one year of mental health direct care experience.
