Description

Coordinate care, perform clinical and administrative duties within the scope of practice of licensure and privileges for clients of the assigned program under the supervision of a qualified psychiatrist

Tasks

  • Obtain, evaluate and document health histories
  • Evaluate clients by gathering full psychiatric, medical, and developmental history for review.
  • Identify physical health needs and coordinate care with medical and therapy providers.
  • Prescribe and manage diagnostic and therapeutic regimens for physical and mental health.
  • Analyze data, assist with diagnoses, and develop care plans with supervising physicians.

Qualifications / Education

  • Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with certification Unrestricted licensure as Physician Assistant in PA.
  • DEA registration Ability to have medical liability coverage
  • Current approved credentialing for privileges in pertinent facilities
  • Experience with adult mental health, IDD populations strongly preferred
