Description

Responsible to provide a peer driven, recovery focused, shared decision making process to consumers in the outpatient clinic. Responsible for working with consumes via the Common Ground™ Approach Software to empower consumers and provide them tools to have an active voice in their recovery. Responsible for providing peer support to consumers in collaboration with the clinicians and treatment team to provide a whole person centered approach to treatment.

Tasks

  • Model and promote a culture of respect, cooperation, and service excellence.
  • Follow all Peer Support, C.O.P.E. Drop-In, and DSC regulations and program requirements.
  • Stay informed on regulation or legislative changes that impact the program or industry.
  • Collaborate professionally with mental health providers, county staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage staffing activities per agency policy, under Program Director’s direction and guidance.

Qualifications / Education

  • High School Diploma with two years’ experience in mental health and recovery required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of recovery and wellness philosophy and practice.
  • Computer skills and competencies: word processing, spreadsheet, internet and e-mail, etc., and be able to transfer knowledge of skill set to others.
  • First person or lived experience of recovery from mental illness is required.
