Description

Accountable for basic resident care including organizing and distributing routine medications under the direction of the Director of Wellness.

Tasks

  • Assist residents with daily living activities: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and walking.
  • Ensure physical comfort, mental well-being, and treat residents with respect and dignity.
  • Prepare residents for meals/snacks and assist with food tray distribution.
  • Help with resident admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
  • Review medication needs, place orders, and document changes under Wellness Director’s guidance.
  • Maintain professional relationships, promote confidentiality and residents’ rights.
  • Follow safety and sanitation rules; report hazards and attend training and meetings.

Qualifications / Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or verification of active pursuit of its equivalent is required.
  • Must be in good standing with the State.
  • Sufficient education in order to perform daily tasks with an understanding of the duties involved.
