Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

Description

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel, while maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for the residents.

Tasks

  • Oversees dietary operations, food quality, sanitation, inventory, and staff scheduling.
  • Ensures compliance with food safety laws, therapeutic diets, and facility policies.
  • Manages purchasing, cost control, and standardization of recipes and production sheets.
  • Maintains dietary records and supports audits, census updates, and regulatory reporting.
  • Trains staff, updates job activity schedules, and collaborates with dietitian consultants.
  • Monitors food service quality, inspects supplies, and maintains sanitation protocols.
  • Assists with dining oversight, attends meetings, and remains on-call for emergencies.

Qualifications / Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or verification of active pursuit of its equivalent is required.
  • Nursing Assistant certification is required after working 120 days. Additionally, a Nursing Assistant must be in good standing with the State.
  • Sufficient education in order to perform daily tasks with an understanding of the duties involved.
