Description

Responsible for fabricating activities under the direction of the Fabrication Foreman, including but not limited to welding, shearing, bending, burning, and machine maintenance.

Tasks

  • Performs fabricating activities as required to meet production schedules.
  • Perform duties and activities in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Communicates departmental information to Fabrication Supervisor on a daily basis or as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment, including routine and preventative maintenance.
  • Operation of overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Responsible for keeping a neat and organized work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Education

  • Welding degree preferred, but not required. Experience in stick, flux core, short arc, carbon arc gouging, and tig welding along with soldering is highly preferred.
  • Welding and fabrication skills
  • Ability to read, interpret, and fabricate according to blueprints
  • Communication (including both written and verbal)
  • Willingness to follow both instructions and direction
  • Show proficiency in basic mathematics and have ability to read measuring equipment (tape measure, square, etc.)
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of this job
  • Lifting a maximum of 50 pounds. This job requires extensive amounts of walking, standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, climbing as required to effectively perform the job
