Description

Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, provide engineered solutions while working with a cross-functional team of sales representatives, engineers, and technicians to maximize feature set, quality of product, and manufacturability of Gasbarre products. Provide design updates to existing products Review technical sales documentation and organize mechanical and electrical bills of material to meet customer requirements Assist production in interpreting and implementing design. Provide support to assembly and quality control in final stages of manufacturing

Tasks

  • Assists Sales with developing cost estimates for RFQ’s.
  • Performs new project design and development; updates previous designs in compliance with company quality process.
  • Ensures project documents are complete and current
  • Provide Production Department with detailed drawings and electrical schematics
  • Prepares layout drawings for the manufacture and assembly of products.
  • Periodically reviews current design to obtain cost savings
  • Maintains contact with suppliers and evaluates their proposals
  • Initiate and participate in continuous improvement efforts
  • Provides technical support and documentation during the development of unit owner’s and operator’s manuals
  • Stays current on new components, design and manufacturing methods and other industry trends by attending vendor training and reading trade journals.
  • Provides technical support as needed.

Qualifications / Education

  • Associates degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • High energy and organized individual
  • Strong interpersonal/teamwork/leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of 3-D and 2-D CAD design, project management, and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of powder compaction markets/applications preferred
  • Willing to travel up to 20%
  • Highly computer literate (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
