Electrical Design & Controls Engineer

Description

Engineers, designs, and troubleshoots electrical and control systems on new and existing equipment to ensure product is functioning properly and safely. Travel as required to customer locations for equipment start up and customer support. All activities are done in a way that represents Gasbarre Products in a professional manner.

Tasks

  • Engineer and design full electrical systems for thermal processing equipment to required codes and standards. This includes the development of power calculations, schematics, and complete bill of material specifications. 
  • Engineer and design equipment control programs from concept to completion using Rockwell, Wonderware, and other specified software. 
  • Troubleshoot systems in house, onsite, online, or over the phone. 
  • Technical support for sales as required. 
  • Electrical manufacturing department support. This includes answering technical questions, ensuring equipment wiring is done with best practices and to proper codes. 
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and customers. 
  • Any other task or duty as required by the Engineering Manager. 

Qualifications / Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Associates degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or industry specific experience.
  • Power/Control/PLC/HMI electrical design 
  • Fluent in AutoCAD and/or 3D design software 
  • Rockwell/Wonderware experience 
  • Strong customer relation skills 
  • Excellent communication

  • Problem solving 
  • Project management 
  • Knowledge of industrial applications
