Description
Under the direction of the President, lead Gasbarre Automation Solutions and a cross-functional team of sales representatives, engineers, and technicians in achieving revenue, profit, and OTD targets while maintaining the highest quality standards. Provide leadership to a diverse team in sales and engineering of automation solutions, managing the day-to-day activities, goal setting, and performance management of the team.
Collaborate with manufacturing planning and leadership to ensure shared resources are applied effectively
Define resource requirements and assist in hiring, training, and deployment
Provide long-term vision for Gasbarre Automation Solutions success via Automation Roadmap
Identify and pursue “good fit” automation opportunities
Tasks
- Ensure timely and professional provision of proposals
- Determine individual customer needs, designing solutions using available company & vendor products and resources and accessing new vendor solutions as advantageous
- Provide market feedback on automation offering in relation to customer expectations and competitor offerings
- Define scope of present and future automation product line, researching total available market and Gasbarre’s accessible market, leveraging Gasbarre’s strengths to scope the most profitable course of action
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Initiate and participate in continuous improvement efforts
- Enable full transparency to efforts via CRM by updating accounts, contacts, leads, and opportunities in a timely and thorough manner
- Prepare and present annual business plan, advising management of current and future resource requirements
- Consult with production manager in scheduling/assigning shared resources
- Participate in National, Regional, and local trade shows
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- High energy and organized individual
- Strong interpersonal/teamwork/leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of powder compaction markets/applications preferred
- Willing to travel up to 20%
- Highly computer literate (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Automation/controls experience a plus
