Description

Provide face to face assessments to gather a thorough client history which helps guide treatment goals and objectives. The BC collaborates with the client and natural supports to design and direct the implementation of an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) utilizing behavior modification interventions individualized to each client. The goal of BC Services is to provide expertise in identifying, improving and stabilizing the child’s complex behavioral needs that occur outside of those expected with normal growth and development.

Tasks

  • Coordinating all aspects of treatment for the clients within their caseload in a professional and timely manner. Maintain licensure when working with ASD individuals and completing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) as requested.
  • Completing necessary data collection reports regarding treatment goals.
  • Assisting the treatment team with development of specific behavioral plans required to stabilize or augment treatment of children/adolescents as identified by evaluation or inter-agency team meeting as requiring such service. Designing and directing the implementation of behavior management plans, individualized to each child and to the needs of the family in a timely manner.

Qualifications / Education

  • Must be licensed in the Commonwealth as a behavioral specialist; or,
  • Minimum of 1 year full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children/youth/young adults and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling from an accredited university/college. Provide services to the ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) population, the individual must be licensed in the Commonwealth. Additional education/experience would qualify if in accordance with the current state regulations.
