Description

Responsible for the clinical and administrative management and integration of programs within the Addiction Treatment Services Division to include: Outpatient/Intensive Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Programming, Erie County Prison D/A Program, Partial Hospitalization programming, and the Certified Recovery Specialist Program. The incumbent is responsible for the daily operation of the Drug and Alcohol Outpatient Clinic and Gage House Program which includes supervision and mentoring of supervisory and clinical staff who provide therapeutic services to adults with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders as well as support staff who contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the programs. The incumbent will also provide clinical coverage as needed, mentoring, and program development. Other responsibilities include budget development, implementation and monitoring; development and enforcement of policies and procedures; ensuring compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements; facilitation of continuous quality improvement efforts; and, ongoing program development that promotes recovery for all individuals served. The incumbent collaborates regularly with the Administrative Director of Rehabilitation Services, Administrative Director of Residential Services, Administrative Director of Treatment Services, as well as the Executive Leadership Team.

Tasks

  • Manages staff and programs aligned with mission, vision, and strategic goals.
  • Creates and monitors agendas for program and operational development; resolves conflicts fairly.
  • Provides clinical leadership using best practices; models recovery engagement for staff.
  • Recruits, trains, supervises, disciplines, and evaluates staff to ensure quality and retention.
  • Conducts BDAP-approved biopsychosocial intakes and uses Addiction Severity Index with clients.
  • Monitors clients’ mental status and medication efficacy; documents progress clearly.
  • Facilitates therapeutic groups and individual sessions using varied recovery approaches.

Qualifications / Education

  • Masters level degree in a course of study related to the field of responsibility and at least three (3) years experience;, or,
  • Bachelor's degree in a course of study related to the field with at least five (5) years of experience or equivalent education and experience as determined by agency standards and guidelines of position. License preferred
  • Drug and alcohol certification required
