Sports Medicine/Athletic Trainer Coordinator

Description

Specializes in the management, prevention, and recovery of injured patients within a high volume physician practice. He/she will collaborate with doctors to provide emergency and follow-up care and develop injury prevention and treatment programs for injured patients. Athletic trainers also provide a vital communication link between the injured athlete, the physician, the coach, and sometimes the athlete's family to determine when it's right to return to practice and competition.

Tasks

  • Oversee and coordinate the delivery of sports medicine services.
  • Manage and supervise athletic trainers.
  • Design and implement injury prevention programs for patients.
  • Collaborate with providers to develop and update care plans for patients with injuries.

Qualifications / Education

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training
  • Current Pennsylvania Athletic Trainer Licensure
  • Healthcare provider CPR certification through the American Heart Association within the first year of hire
