Description

Responsible to calibrate, inspect and test all respiratory care equipment to insure proper operating condition. Disassembles, cleans and sterilizes equipment for reuse according to prescribed procedures. Administers respiratory care services to include all services as necessary to include all services offered by the department. Coordinates Respiratory Technicians to ensure proper utilization of staff; makes daily work assignments in a fair and equitable manner. Responsible for the quality of patient care delivered. Develops, recommends and implements new procedures, techniques and equipment.

Tasks

  • Provide therapies like oxygen, nebulizers, and chest physiotherapy to patients.
  • Measure lung function to monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans.
  • Teach inhaler use, hygiene, and chronic respiratory condition management.
  • Educate patients on maintaining healthy respiratory habits and routines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and modify care plans.
  • Support patients through personalized respiratory therapy and follow-up.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of treatments and patient progress.

Qualifications / Education

  • PA Licensed for Respiratory Care Practitioner
  • Must be registered by the NBRC or registry eligible
