Description

Responsible to maintain daily workflow, insuring that records are scanned in a timely and efficient manner to avoid delay in further processing.  In addition you will be responsible for indexing all documents to the appropriate patient folder and for ensuring each document is assigned the appropriate document name.

Tasks

  • Review physical patient charts, forms, or documents and organizing them for scanning.
  • Operate scanning equipment to digitize paper documents and upload them into the electronic health record system.
  • Labeling and categorizing scanned files by patient name, visit type, or document category.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of scanned documents by checking for any errors, missing information, or illegible files.

Qualifications / Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent with prior experience working in a medical setting
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous experience with electronic medical record system
  • Prior Health Information Management experience
