Description

Assist in the planning, organizing and providing practice management services to the medical center physician practices, subsidiaries, and other related interests. Coordinates the practice supervision activities of clinical and non-clinical staff; oversees operations of assigned practices. Acts as a liaison for the practice staff with operational oversight to the practice management department.

Tasks

  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and scheduling of healthcare staff.
  • Handle the financial aspects of the practice, such as billing, insurance claims, and patient payments.
  • Ensure accurate coding, timely reimbursement, and compliance with insurance requirements and healthcare regulations.
  • Streamline office operations, managing patient flow, and improving the overall patient experience.

Qualifications / Education

  • Associate degree in appropriate related discipline required
  • Knowledge of physician office procedure, CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding and proper medical record documentation
  • Wide range of billing, charging, and reimbursement guidelines for acceptable payors
  • CPR Certification from the American Heart Association within the first year of hire
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in office supervisor role
