Therapist

Responsible for facilitating group and individual behavioral therapy for adults with mental illness and their families. This treatment component is an integral part of a multidisciplinary clinical team that utilizes professional clinical judgment in the use of various therapeutic interventions. Further, the incumbent must maintain a professional relationship with internal program staff and community resource providers as well to ensure quality programming and appropriate aftercare planning. Crisis management and resolution are also important functions of this position.

• Uses current knowledge and recovery principles to help clients select treatment strategies.
• Explores and shares complementary therapies; keeps up with professional trainings.
• Tracks client participation; consults with team for treatment plans and referrals.
• Facilitates therapeutic groups and individual sessions to resolve crises and mental health issues.
• Builds relationships with providers, families; represents organization in team meetings.
• Recognizes and manages client crises; accesses crisis services with supervisory support.
• Responds professionally to crises in unit, community, or by phone.

• Master's level degree in psychology, counseling or a related field and a minimum of two years of supervised clinical work experience
• Licensure preferred
