Description

The lead physician assistant in the Q-Care functions as an essential member of the team in the practice setting and on units as indicated by physician needs. they assita in the development of the Q-Care services through training of staff and providers, clinical competency management and scheduling analysis for both staff and providers.

Tasks

  • Lead and supervise a team of physician assistants, to provide guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Diagnose and treat patients under the supervision of a physician.
  • Work with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, specialists, and care teams.
  • Monitor the quality of care provided by the physician assistant team.

Qualifications / Education

  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Physician Assistant
  • Maintain a Physician Assistant License in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Both medical and osteopathic
  • Collaborative agreement approved through the state within 3 months of start date
  • National certification
  • DEA required within 6 months of start date
  • Current Healthcare provider CPR through the American Heart Association
  • Maintains ACLS and PALS certification
