Description

Assist in the enrollment of Penn Highlands Practitioners with various payers for professional services reimbursement. Complete timely application processes based on payor specific formats. Continually follow up on enrollment statuses until completed. Resolve issues and maintain accurate records/applications used in the enrollment process. 

Tasks

  • Verifying the educational background, licensure, certifications, work history, and references of healthcare providers.
  • Process and review credentialing applications from healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credentialed providers.
  • Communicate with insurance companies and accreditation bodies.

Qualifications / Education

  • Associate Degree in Business or Medical Office Management experience in a physician office setting
  • Previous secretarial experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Provider enrollment experience; Prior knowledge of insurance billing, claims processing or enrollment policies.
