Anesthesia Nurse Supervisor

Description

Responsible for managing patient care, assuring quality, and assisting in the supervision of other professionals and healthcare workers on the Perianesthesia Unit.

Tasks

  • Manage and oversee the daily activities of anesthesia nurses and support staff.
  • Oversee preparation, administration, and monitoring of anesthesia for patients undergoing outpatient procedures.
  • Provide ongoing education and training to anesthesia nurses on the latest techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure that anesthesia plans are appropriate for each patient.

Qualifications / Education

  • Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License or Temporary Practice permit
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field
  • Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification within six (6) months of start date
  • ACLS certification within a year of start date
  • PALS certification within a year of start date
  • Desire to develop management skills
  • One (1) year of current Peri-Anesthesia experience
  • Have progressive and successful work history
  • ASPAN certification or working towards certification within two (2) years of start date
