Description

The Business Engagement and Project Manager serves as the primary administrator of employer / business services for the region's high growth, high demand industries.  Position is responsible for the development and coordination of strategic, industry focused initiatives that meet employers' evolving workforce needs.  Position also project manages special grants/projects.

Tasks

  • Serve as the primary lead for business and industry sector partnerships
  • Serve as the primary lead for Registered Apprenticeship and Pre-Apprenticeship 
  • Manage special projects and initiatives related to business and industry activities
  • Establish relationships with companies in key industry sectors
  • Work with employers to identify their needs and collaborate with stakeholders to develop / implement action plans
  • Serve as liaison between industry and our PA CareerLink® business service teams
  • Complete and submit various project reports as required

Qualifications / Education

3 - 5 years of experience in business development and establishing and developing corporate partnerships across industries
Bachelor’s degree in planning, business management or related field
Special Requirements
Must have a high level of reasoning and problem solving skills.
 Must have a high level of judgment and decision-making skills.
 Must have a high level of verbal and written communication skills.
 Must have extensive interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
 Must be flexible and willing to learn, i.e. new software programs, etc.
 Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel locally and statewide
on a frequent basis.
 Must have a good knowledge of the regional road system.
 Must have competent PC skills and knowledge of MS Office software.
 Must have good time management and multi-tasking skills.
 Sitting: 90%; Walking/standing: 10%
