Teacher's Aide

Provides academic and behavioral support to children and adolescents, under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher and Program Supervisor. The Teacher's Aide provides one-on-one support on classroom assignments and assists with organizing incoming and outgoing class assignments for each student. The Teacher's Aide functions as part of the overall treatment team.

• Models and fosters an organizational culture of respect, cooperation, and service excellence.
• Provides individualized or small group instruction and enforces program rules (with the support of caseworker, program supervisor, and special education teacher) in the academic milieu of the program.
• Assists with developing and implements physical education, lunch, and nutrition curricula.
• Assists with organization of student's academic materials.
• Assists with classroom behavioral management.

• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor's in Special Education preferred
• 1 years of experience working with children in school setting and children with emotional and behavioral disabilities preferred
• Valid Pennsylvania Teaching License preferred
• Valid driver's license
