Nurse LPN

Provides medication management and prescription support services to the consumers of Dickinson Center, Inc. and supportive services to the psychiatrists and mid-level psychiatric practitioners. The Outpatient Nurse is under the clinical and administrative supervision of the Outpatient Nurse Supervisor or the Nurse Practitioner.

• Models and fosters an organizational culture of respect, cooperation, and service excellence.
• Conducts face-to-face medication management appointments with consumers as needed. Participates in a medication clinic. Performs basic health assessments as needed (i.e. blood pressure, temperature, and tracking of health conditions).
• Responds to all incoming calls/inquiries/requests from consumers and pharmacies, school nurses and other third parties regarding medication information and requests for refills.
• Consults and provides support to all DCI prescribers, inclusive of lab requests and results, as needed and appropriate.
• Administers injections to consumers as ordered by prescribers.

• High school diploma (or GED) Completion of an approved nursing program to obtain licensure
• Licensed to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the state of PA, OR Have a Graduate Practical Nurse Permit from the state of Pennsylvania
