Description

The Children's Prevention & Assessment Program Director is directly responsible for the day to day operations of the following programs: LIFE/Incredible Years (IY), Student Assistance Program (SAP), and the Signs of Suicide? (SOS) Prevention Program. These programs provide prevention and assessment services to children and adolescents in Elk and Cameron Counties. The Program Director supervises staff, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, monitors financial performance, and ensures that services delivered meet agency and regulatory standards.

Tasks

  • Models and fosters an organizational culture of respect, cooperation, and service excellence.
  • Monitors financial performance of program; actively seeks referrals to ensure a consistent census is maintained.
  • Collects and tracks data to secure funding for program sustainability.
  • Monitors regulatory landscape to be up to date on any legislative or regulation changes which impact the program, or industry in general.
  • Following agency procedures and with appropriate agency guidance, manages staffing activities for program personnel: hiring, onboarding, training, work assignment, supervision, performance evaluations, disciplinary issues, terminations, etc.

Qualifications / Education

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, Education, or related Human Service field
  • 5 years of experience working with children/adolescents and families
  • The following trainings are preferred, but may be acquired after hire: Student Assistance Program training Incredible Years program training Valid driver's license
