Description

Responsible for the direct supervision and operation for the assigned staff in Peer Support, C.O.P,E Drop-In Center and Decision Support Center (DSC). This is done in coordination with the Program Director. day to day operations for a specific caseload of the Peer Support, Drop-In Center, and Decision Support Center. The peer support program provides specialized therapeutic interactions conducted by self-identified in individuals of mental health services, to adults with a diagnosis of serious mental illness, in 7 counties. The C.O.P.E Drop-In-Center program provides a safe and social environment for adults with Mental Health Diagnosis and individuals who are Intellectual developmentally disabled, in Elk and Cameron Counties. Is responsible for coordinating monthly Decision Support Center (DSC)leadership meeting, collect data, and monitors the day-to-day operation of the DSC and DSC peer staff. Tracks monthly statistics and Personal Medicine/Power Statement Fidelity. Supervises staff, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and ensures that services delivered meet agency and regulatory standards.

Tasks

  • Models and fosters an organizational culture of respect, cooperation, and service excellence.
  • Understands, implements, and follows all Peer Support, C.O.P.E Drop-In-center, DSC regulations and program requirements. Monitors regulatory landscape to be up to date on any legislative or regulation changes which impact the program, or industry in general.
  • Coordinates DSC leaderships meetings and monitors monthly events/Personal Medicine/Power Statement/Fidelity.
  • Participate in individual or team meetings/supervision with the Program Director.
  • Ensuring that documentation is turned in timely, and within program standards, including developing Individual Support plans in Avatar, monitoring staff's progress notes and any other applicable documentation.

Qualifications / Education

  • A CPS Supervisor must meet one of the following: Be a mental health professional who has completed the Department-approved CPS Supervisory training. Have a bachelor's degree in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, counseling, education or a related field from a program that is accredited by an agency recognized by the USDOE or the CHEA, or an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university approved by the USDOE; and two years of mental health direct service experience that may include PSS AND has completed the CPS supervisory training curriculum approved by the Department. OR Have a high school diploma or GED and four ears of mental health direct service experience that may include PSS; and has completed the CPS Supervisory training curriculum approved by the department. Peer Specialist Supervisory Training Curriculum preferred, but must be obtained within 6 months of assuming the position of Peer Support Supervisor. Valid driver's license
