Description

Provides direct care at the ADT program. This program provides day services in Potter County to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The TASW provides daily individualized care to each consumer while encouraging independence, respecting personal preferences, and ensuring their health and welfare.

Tasks

  • Models and fosters an organizational culture of respect, cooperation, and service excellence.
  • Plans and implements therapeutic, educational, and social activities on site and in the community.
  • Follows each consumer's ISP, including skill development and maintenance, health guidelines, and outcome plans.
  • Provides physical assistance as needed during ambulation, wheelchair transfers, and personal care.
  • Observes consumers for changes in abilities, behaviors, moods, and general health status.

Qualifications / Education

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Age 18 or older by the completion of new hire training and orientation.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills involving working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Valid driver's license Capacity to successfully complete first aid, CPR, and medication administration courses
