Nurse Leader

Oversees and conducts assessment of resident physical and mental health needs and medical interventions for the treatment plan. Works as part of the treatment team and participates in treatment team meetings. Supervises the licensed practical nurses. Activities may include health/wellness groups, medication monitoring, advocacy and communication of health needs and maintenance, medication administration, medication storage, maintaining medication documentation information, and supervision of medical staff nurses.

• Models and fosters an organizational culture of respect, cooperation, and service excellence.
• Conducts assessment of physical and mental health needs and obtains medical history upon intake. (i.e. physical examination, vision and hearing screening, TB skin test, prostate examination, allergies, etc.)
• Ensures appropriate immunization records are received.
• Communicates any special precautions, protocols, allergies, dietary instructions, or other specific needs.
• Facilitates blood work according to resident needs and defined procedures.

• High school diploma (or GED). AND Graduate of accredited professional nursing program. (RN preferred, LPN considered) Bachelors of Science in nursing preferred. 1+ years of experience in mental health and physical health settings preferred. 3+ years of experience in mental health and physical health settings if an LPN
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania preferred.
• In lieu of RN licensure, license to practice as Licensed Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania, may be considered, with supervisory and applicable experience.
