Behavioral Health Professional

Provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support service to the residents of the LTSR using trauma informed and recovery oriented interventions according to the individual treatment plan. Activities may include individual, family, and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, activities of daily living, resident advocacy, prevention, collaboration with external systems and education.

• Models and fosters an organizational culture of respect, cooperation, and service excellence.
• Collaborates with internal and external supports and services for intake, discharge process and during resident stay and treatment meeting once per month minimum.
• Conducts psycho-social assessments of new residents as part of treatment team comprehensive evaluation.
• Provides therapeutic interventions for residents to assist them in overcoming mental health challenges and restoring competency. Develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on resident's needs and treatment team recommendations, using clinical experience and knowledge.

• Master’s level degree or higher in generally recognized clinical discipline and one (1) year of mental health clinical experience
• Registered, licensed or certified if profession is governed by such a board in the Commonwealth
