Maintenance Electrician Specialist

Description
Responsible for supervising craft employees and performing specialist-level electrical maintenance work, including advanced troubleshooting, PLC and HMI programming, document control, and electrical system support. This position serves as a resource for complex problems, coordinates contractors, leads safety efforts, supports training, and ensures electrical work is completed safely and correctly.
Tasks
Supervise craft employees, fill in for the supervisor, and delegate daily work.
Serve as a resource for complex troubleshooting and escalate issues when needed.
Coordinate and oversee contractor work.
Lead safety meetings and identify relevant safety topics.
Coordinate and oversee contractor work.
Lead safety meetings and identify relevant safety topics.
Lead on-the-job training opportunities with the shop supervisor.
Perform PLC and HMI programming and management.
Create SOPs, review and modify documents, and lead Level 1 incident investigations.
Qualifications / Education
High School Diploma required.
Electrical certification required.
70E Low Voltage Training required.
70E High Voltage Training required.
Class B CDL preferred or required.
Qualified rigger/signal training preferred or required.
RCA training preferred or required.
8–10 years of experience preferred.
Minimum 3 years at ARG preferred but not required.
Experience with electrical drawings, conduit installation, troubleshooting, NEC code book, motor controls, Allen Bradley systems, refinery substations, UPS/battery backup systems, NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B, and reliability-centered maintenance preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Suite, time entry, ADP, SafetyAmp, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, RSStudio5000, RSNetWorx, Fluke Energy Analyze, Flir software, SEL Quickset, Beijer IX Developer, Drive Executive, and CMMS preferred.
