Description

Responsible for supervising craft employees and supporting insulation work in a refinery setting. This job includes overseeing insulation installation, repair, removal, material tracking, safety compliance, and daily work assignments to make sure projects are completed safely and correctly.

Tasks

Supervise craft employees and delegate daily work assignments. 
  1. Install, repair, remove, and track insulation around lines, tanks, vessels, and furnaces. 
  2. Perform insulating and jacketing work on pipes, tanks, vessels, flanges, valves, and removable blankets. 
  3. Identify material types and application specifications for insulation and refractory work. 
  4. Manage insulating inventory and maintain the supply of materials. 
  5. Follow safety regulations, PPE requirements, lockout/tagout rules, and permit procedures. 
  6. Coordinate with contractors and lead safety or team meetings when needed. 

Qualifications / Education

High School Diploma required. 
6–8 years of insulation or related craft experience preferred. 
Minimum 1 year at ARG preferred but not required.
Asbestos training preferred. 
Leadership training preferred. 
Knowledge of insulation design, installation, wall coping, valves, roll metal, end caps, and steam trace tubing. 
Experience using Microsoft Suite, ADP, SafetyAmp, time entry systems, and CMMS preferred.
