Description

Responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial insulation systems for piping, tanks, vessels, and equipment while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Responsible for supporting insulation fabrication, material handling, inventory tracking, and the safe operation of tools and equipment, including forklifts and aerial lifts. Responsible for maintaining clean and organized job sites, following lockout/tagout procedures, and contributing to efficient project completion through teamwork, communication, and attention to detail. 

Tasks

Assist with measuring, cutting, and fitting insulation materials for industrial piping systems and equipment. 
Support fabrication and installation of metal jacketing, end caps, and protective coverings. 
Inspect insulation systems for damage, wear, or safety concerns and report findings to supervisors. 
Maintain accurate records of materials used, inventory levels, and completed work orders. 
Work collaboratively with team members, contractors, and supervisors to complete projects on schedule. 
Prepare and clean work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards. 
Follow company procedures and industry standards while performing repairs, maintenance, and new installations.

Qualifications / Education

High School Diploma or GED required. 
Basic knowledge of industrial insulation materials, tools, and installation techniques. 
Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and safety procedures. 
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. 
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and aerial lift equipment. 
Understanding of PPE requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and workplace safety practices. 
Physically capable of lifting materials, climbing, bending, and working in industrial environments. 
Willingness to learn insulation design, fabrication, and installation processes. 
Employer-sponsored training programs and safety certifications preferred. 
Additional technical or vocational training in industrial insulation or construction is a plus.
