Description

Responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely financial data. It supports day to day accounting operations, applying departmental policies and procedures. This position assists with monthly close, grant tracking and recording processes to support complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting. It communicates effectively with other locations and management to plan work, gather information, and present results. Leads efforts to continuously improve processes to produce relevant financial reports in the fastest, most efficient means possible.

Tasks

·     Prepare accounting reports, including financial statements with accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department and in compliance with general accounting principles.
·     Analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting and complete month end balance sheet reconciliations.
·     Prepare schedules and compile supporting documents for internal and external audits.
·     Assist with grant management, planning, budgeting, and compliance.
·     Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
·     Assist with creation of department budgets; monitor adherence, report variances.
·     Prepare daily bank reconciliations and deposits. 
·     Assist in creating and adhering to a weekly cash management plan.
·     Support revenue cycle reporting.
·     Work with other finance department team members to ensure and refine proper recording of financial transactions
·     Conform with and abide by all regulations, work policies and procedures and instructions.

Qualifications / Education

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
  • Sage or other accounting software knowledge required
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks (EMR) preferred 
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and Word required
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
