Description

Competently operates heavy machinery, such as  cranes, front end loader, grader, skid steer, bobcat,, vac truck, tractor-trailer, winch truck, stake truck, dump truck, snow removal equipment, lull, JLG, scissors lift,  backhoe, or excavator, etc. for the purpose of construction, demolition, maintenance, or excavation.  Construction, maintenance and demolition of exchangers, towers, tanks, concrete work, winter work, turnaround work, ditches, foundation, vac work, etc. Performs specialized work as assigned by Supervisor.

Tasks

Knowledgeable on pulling heat exchanger bundles, testing for leaks and reassembly

Knowledgeable about rigging for lifts

Knowledgeable about rebuilding MEK filters

Must work closely with other crew members, engineering, other maintenance crafts, contractors, and process personnel. 

Proficient with hand signals, rigging, positioning/moving and staging of load and crane (equipment) to coordinate machine actions with other activities.


Understands and practices safety regulations. Monitors operations to ensure that health and safety standards are met.  .   

Takes actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, environmental releases, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.   

Qualifications / Education

6+ years experience
High School Diploma
Apprenticeship or Associate/Trade Certificate desired
Class A CDL with Hazmat
PA Certified Crane Operator
JLG & Forklift certified
Confined Space Rope Rescue certified
Qualified Rigger/Signal Person 
Trench Rescue Certified
CAT Basic User/Operator Training
