Maintenance Pipefitter/Welder

Description

Master fabricator using work orders, isometric drawings, blueprints, sketches and other related documentation. Master in understanding refer to and use industry standards for pipe specs and welding codes. Master taking field measurements to determine, length, angles and other dimensions to properly fit for job or task.

Tasks

Document weld mapping to retain in Reliability for new inspection and entry into PCMS

Master in hydrotesting, inspect and document completed work for conformance to specifications.

Layout piping and structural steel and generate ISO drawings for fabrication and installation of structural projects and basic instrumentation tubing bending.

Follows all rules and practices of safety and good housekeeping including wearing of all personal protective equipment (PPE)

Safe use of all shop equipment, hand tools and equipment including JLG manlift, forklift or other equipment necessary to perform functions of the job.

Adapts procedures, processes, tools, equipment and techniques to meet the most complex requirements.

Advanced knowledge of refinery pipe specifications and gasket selection.

Qualifications / Education

6-8 years experience
Minimum 3 years @ARG, preferred but not required.  
High School Diploma
Welding Apprenticeship,  Associate or Trade Certificate Preferred
Qualified Rigger/Signal Training
Maintain 9 ton Carry-deck qualification - quarterlly refresher training
Maintain certification Manlift, Scissor lift, Forklift
Leadership training 
Prior experience as a Journeyman II
